The decision to adopt a new dog is an exciting one for you and your family. Thank you for giving your rescued dog a new start.

For your dog the journey has likely been one filled with uncertainty and fear. Dogs that have found themselves in the shelter or rescue system are typically there for one of the following reasons:

• History of Roaming
• Relinquished for Behavior Problems
• Rural Dog
• Abuse or Neglect

All of these situations come with behavioral "baggage". Please be patient with your new dog. He needs time to adjust, consistent routine, and guidance that is not scary or painful.
